The Black Marlins Swim Team is a YMCA and USA Swimming registered team, providing a competitive yet supportive environment for swimmers of all skill levels. As a USA Swimming team, we offer athletes the opportunity to compete at both the YMCA and USA Swimming levels, opening doors to higher-level competitions and greater development in the sport.

As a member of the SENECY League in the New England region of YMCA Swimming, we race against teams from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Our team trains at the MacColl YMCA in Lincoln, RI, and the Pawtucket Family YMCA in Pawtucket, RI, offering year-round training for swimmers looking to improve their skills and reach their full potential. Each swimmer is evaluated by our experienced coaching staff to ensure they are placed in the right training group.

But we’re more than just a swim team—we’re a community. Throughout the season, we host various team bonding events, giving swimmers the chance to create lasting friendships beyond the pool. Whether it’s a fun outing, a team-building activity, or a special event, we believe strong team connections enhance both performance and the overall swim experience.

Beyond competition, we focus on developing well-rounded athletes by providing education on swimming techniques, nutrition, training, competitive rules, and future opportunities in the sport. With the combined strength of YMCA and USA Swimming, the Black Marlins offers a unique program designed to help swimmers achieve their goals at every level.
